Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has announced the recruitment of a large number of candidates for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in various regions. In addition to the Multi-Tasking Staff, candidates in other posts such as Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Stenographer, etc. are also being recruited by ESIC. As our today’s post is only about ESIC MTS Syllabus 2022, we will discuss only ESIC MTS related information in this post.

ESIC MTS Selection Process

Candidates have to go through Two Phases to be selected for the post of ESIC Multi-Tasking Staff 2022. Phase-I is the Preliminary Examination which is Qualifying in Nature, Phase-II is the Mains Examination.

Note 1: Candidates will be called for the Phase-II or mains examination in the ratio of 1:10 of vacancies after the ESIC MTS preliminary examination.

Note 2: The marks obtained in ESIC MTS Phase-II or Main Examination will be considered for final selection.

ESIC MTS Exam Pattern

The ESIC MTS 2022 exam will be conducted in two phases, namely, Phase I: Preliminary, Phase II: Mains. So I discussed the exam pattern of these two phases separately below.

ESIC MTS Preliminary Exam Pattern

  • ESIC MTS exam pattern for Preliminary Examination is Computer Based Test (CBT) that consists of multiple-choice objective type questions.
  • ESIC MTS Prelims exam has a total of 100 questions for 200 marks, i.e. the value of each question is 2 marks. ESIC MTS Syllabus 2022 is discussed in detail below.
  • The questions of the ESIC MTS Preliminary Examination are divided into four segments, i.e. 25 questions in each segment.
  • The time allotted for the ESIC MTS Prelims exam is 1 hour (60 Minutes).
  • There will be a NEGATIVE MARKING of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question (0.5 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer).
  • Question papers of three segments of ESIC MTS Prelims (1. General Intelligence and Reasoning, 2. General Awareness, 3. Quantitative Aptitude) will be prepared in English and Hindi language. The question of the 4th segment i.e. “English Comprehension” will be in English Language only.
  • The marks obtained in the ESIC MTS preliminary examination will not be taken into account in making the final merit list, as it is Qualifying in Nature.

ESIC MTS Mains Exam Pattern

  • ESIC MTS exam pattern for Mains Examination is also Computer Based Test (CBT) that consists of multiple-choice objective type questions.
  • ESIC MTS Mains exam has a total of 200 questions for 200 marks, i.e. the value of each question is 1 mark.
  • The questions of the ESIC MTS Mains Examination are divided into four segments, i.e. 50 questions in each segment.
  • The time allotted for the ESIC MTS Prelims exam is 2 hours (120 Minutes).
  • There will be a NEGATIVE MARKING of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question (0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer).
  • Question papers of three segments of ESIC MTS Mains (1. General Intelligence and Reasoning, 2. General Awareness, 3. Quantitative Aptitude) will be prepared in English and Hindi language. The question of the 4th segment i.e. “English Comprehension” will be in English Language only.
  • The marks obtained in the ESIC MTS 2022 Phase-II or Mains Examination will be considered for final selection.

ESIC MTS Marks Distribution

Each of the two phases of ESIC MTS 2022 (Prelims and Mains) has subject-based marks division but no subject-based time division.

Age Limit: 18 years to 25 years (as of 15.02.2022)

Educational Qualification: 10th/Matriculation or equivalent pass from recognized Board.
